A Case of Fetal Omphalocele Diagnosed by Prenatal Ultrasonography

Abstract
Omphalocele is a defect of the anterior abdominal wall in which there is extrusion of the abdominal contents into the base of the umbilical cord. Stillbirth and neonatal death is so common that the mortality rate is very high, because of it's
associated
anomalies. However, recently prenatal diagnosis, proper delivery and treatment, and various surgical advancement shows decrease on the rate of death.
We experienced a case of fetal omphalocele from a pregnant woman with 19weeks and performed cesarean section at 37 weeks, and the baby was immediately treated under the cooperation of pediatric surgeon. The baby is now 15 months old and
well-being
without any complications. Here we present this case with the brief review of literatures.
